I thought I might try something different with the Christmas Bauble stamp set and go Christmas Vintage. I love vintage things and have recently been attracted to the old zinc lid canning jars. I picked up a few at a garage sale and they have such a lovely turquoise glass with a few fine air bubbles in the sides, a sure sign they are old. I played around with the colors and came up with my jar version stamped with the Christmas Bauble set. All the pretty ornament colors were done with Blendabilities markers after the ornament was stamped in Black Memento ink.

The size of the card is a full size folded 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" with the short side on the top. By inserting the white card base into the Envelope Punch Board I was able to achieve the curves of the jar and then make an additional Basic Gray lid which gets glued over the white base.

I used 4 different color sets of Blendabilities for the ornament, which are perfect for blending and shading.
The cute CHRISTMAS WISHES tag is from the THAT'S THE TICKET stamp set and is stamped in Real Red classic ink.

Of course life is easier when you can just punch it out rather than fussy cut it. Use the Ticket Duo Builder Punch for that job.
I used the new 1/8" hole punch to string the tag with Bermuda Bay Bakers Twine. I love the larger size rather than the 1/16", so much easier on my eyes. I folded 1 piece of twine and looped it through the tag and then back through the loop ending with 2 tails. Than I ran a piece around the front panel of the card, tied a knot and then took the tails from the tag and tucked them into the final bow that went around the card. Yikes...did that make sense? Oh and I lightly sponged the edges of the tag and the jar with Bermuda Bay ink to match the ornament.
The final touch...A RED GLIMMER paper focal point. It's a 1/2" circle and adds the perfect sparkle to this one of a kind Christmas card.
I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration and will visit again sooN!

Another cute and innovative idea for using the envelope punch board. You could use the jar for lots of holidays/birthdays by filling it with jellybeans or bugs(!) or butterflies or whatever . . .
