Clean, Simple and Quick JOY

Today's QUICK card is all about Clean and Simple. Not only that it's also economical because of using all white (less expensive than colored card stock). I also like that because the white has a SMOOTH finish it really makes the large POLKA DOTS dry emboss well. That means no break through edges or tears.

I love using the die cut sentiments for my holiday cards and especially this one with the swirly font, die cut in Island Indigo. You might also enjoy this card using the NOEL sentiment in the Wonderous Wreath Framelit Dies.

I thought it would be fun to put a Red glimmer star at the ends of the sentiment, again a clean and simple look!

Sending Thanksgiving Blessings

Thanksgiving Day Verses

Wishing you a Blessed Thanksgiving day reflecting on the
Goodness of Each Day, and the Family and Friends in Your Life.

Ready for a little Thanksgiving trivia?

We know that In the United States, Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November. But did you know that seven other nations also celebrate an official Thanksgiving Day? Those nations are Argentina, Brazil, Canada , Japan, Korea, Liberia, and Switzerland.

History of Thanksgiving in America

According to most historians, thepilgrims never observed an annual Thanksgiving feast in autumn. In the year 1621, they did celebrate a feast near Plymouth, Massachusetts, following their first harvest. But this feast most people refer to as the first Thanksgiving was never repeated.
Oddly enough, most devoutly religious pilgrims observed a day of thanksgiving with prayer and fasting, not feasting. Yet even though this harvest feast was never called Thanksgiving by the pilgrims of 1621, it has become the model for the traditional Thanksgiving celebrations in the United States. Firsthand accounts of this feast, by Edward Winslow and William Bradford, can be found on Pilgrim Hall Museum
"Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year; to the honest man it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow."
- Edward Sandford Martin

Peek-A-Boo no stamping Wonderous Wreath

So here I am again today with another peek-a-boo
WONDEROUS WREATH

I love the concept that you can see right through the wreath to the inside of the card. This also might be a great place to feature a photo of the family or a treasured furry pet.

Thank you to the Connie and Mary team for their sketch challenge inspiration this week.

So just how do you achieve this Peek-A-Boo look that I love so much?
It's EASY, You will need.... White card bases, Wonderous Wreath Framelit Dies and stamp set , Trim a Tree DSP pack, Garden Green Ink, Silver Glimmer Paper and Red Taffeta Ribbon.

Whisper White Cut & Ready Card Bases

1.  Die cut a opening in the front of the card Using the center part
of the wreath. It's about a 1/3 of the way up from the bottom.
2.  Take a piece of the crumb cake dsp with the white snowflakes and
adhere it with snail adhesive applied just to the white card base.

3.  Flip the card over and using Paper Snips, trim away
the DSP that overlaps the white base, be careful not to accidentally
cut the fold of your card base when cutting along that edge.

4.  On the front side all you have to do is roughly trim away the paper
around the die cut because the wreath will end up covering it up.

5.  Cut and adhere 1/2" strips of the Trim a Tree DSP to the side.
6.  Die cut a wreath using the DSP pack. ( no stamping needed )
7.  Place dimensionals under the cut wreath and carefully line up the
wreath with the white base underneath.

8.  Using Garden Green ink, stamp the sentiment from the Wonderous
Wreath stamp set....love that swirly font!

9.  A Silver Glimmer die cut bow and a small Real Red
1/8" taffeta ribbon give a shimmer  and a balance of the red plaid
designer paper. The silver bow looks best popped up.

Happy Stamping
