Fall is in the air and just about time to say goodbye to my summer garden. I didn't spend as much time as I should have tending to the veggies this year but I did get a gorgeous crop of cherry size tomatoes. Aren't they pretty, truly God's palette of colors. I count myself fortunate to be able to grow my own food and organic farm on our acreage. We had our dinner group recently and this was a small Hostess gift I packaged up to share.
I created the paper basket by taking a brown lunch bag and rolling the edges down until you achieve the height you want. The paper bag becomes quite sturdy as the rounded edge gets larger. I've been doing this for years and have always enjoyed the results. I slide the whole thing in a Gusseted Cellophane Bag with the top of the bag sticking out at one end. I then tied 3 different colors of raffia from the craft store on the end.
The Yum tag was stamped in Cherry Cobbler on Vanilla card stock and sponged with Cherry Cobbler and Pumpkin Pie inks.
I love what the tag says " Homemade YUM from the Heart ", how perfect is that! What would you fill your basket with? How about some Carmel Corn? Now thats REAL YUM.
Thank You again for joining me today ...yes Fall is here!
