"Give Thanks", something we should think about every day!
When the cool weather comes it seems that all the fall traditions follow with it.
Sweaters, warm soup, falling leaves and baking homemade goodies.
If you are like me, bringing a freshly baked pumpkin bread to those Holiday
get-togethers is a treat enjoyed by all.
Your packaging can steal the show (lol) when you include a festive tag on your wine bottle, baked goods or basket of home grown veggies.
(BOW Tutorial below)
Start with a wreath made with the Floral Frames Collection and a
Big Shot Machine
(pg. 224 & 231 of the Annual SU Catalog)
Die cut the largest size while placing the 2nd smallest size in the middle of the largest one....check positioning before cutting.
For a Brighter look I choose Tangerine Tango card stock to make my wreath.
The next items are from the Holiday Catalog, with products available Aug. 28th.......yahoo, it just days away!
The GIVE THANKS sentiment is from the Holiday Invitation Polymer stamp set # 135074 (14 stamps, $21.95)
You can bend the Polymer sentiments on a clear block to fit the shape of a cut out item. Because you can see through the block and the image it's fairly easy to line up the stamp, check it's positioning and then ink and stamp.
I stamped my image in Mossy Meadow to match the green in the Color Me Autumn Designer Paper
All of the leaves on each side of the bow are fussy cut from the DSP. They are EASY to cut out when you leave a touch of the vanilla background color around each leaf.
Now are you ready for the BOW????
In Addition to the Designer Paper You will need...
Extra Large Oval Punch and Mini Glue Dots (contains 300 qty.)
click on images for product details
Punch 3 Oval, cut one in half and 1- 1/2" strip x 2"
Place glue dots and ROLL DSP over and connect, don't fold in half
Place a couple of glue dots on the underside of the DSP strip
Attach the 2 folded pieces at the center of the strip and
ADD a glue dot to the end of the strip.
Fold up the bottom of the strip and then fold the glue dot end over the top.
Place glue dots on the 2 half oval pieces at the round end.
Tuck pieces under the bow and attach
This is how mine looked on the back side
Now you can take the ties of the bow and slightly bend them to create
more shape.
Grab a little bit of shimmery light with the addition of a wee piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper.
