Sometimes I like to just play with MY PUNCHES....
I had sooo much fun making this plump little chick and so did
the ladies that had attended my last Punch Art class.
Kinda makes you smile huh?
Once the idea came into my head, I knew I wanted to have some kind of chicken wire background. Stampin'Up used to have a background stamp but it has long retired. Unfortunately it is not in my library of stamps. Now I have my own ideas about NOT having it, but you can decide if that is a good thing or not...LOL ! So I decided to S T R E T C H the use of my Honeycomb textured embossing folder. I dragged my Crumb Cake ink pad across the side that has the pattern that you see. I placed my folded Crumb Cake card base in the folder and pressed the card down so that the ink would stamp the image on the front.
The good news is that if the ink doesn't all transfer it's o.k., it's just a simple background effect. Well I'm sure there is another look alike out there some where, but THIS CHICK is probably the plumpest. Isn't she funny?
The Body and wings are lightly sponged with Crumb Cake ink to help the shadowing of white paper for a little more shape. It's more authentic anyway, my white hen is always rolling in the dirt. She is the Top of the pecking order in our flock and loves to boss the others around. Her name is Snow White but I tell you sometimes she is a b_tch, oops sorry !
There she goes on her way to boss around Ms. Hawkins!
O.k. back to the card.....
I generated the sentiment from the computer and I'm sorry but I don't know which font I used.....argh!
2 of the Punches that were used have since retired, YOU know what that means...keep your eyes open for them appearing at the CLEARANCE RACK!
SMALL HEART #117193 and FULL HEART # 119883. You could substitute the Small Heart with the new heart from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack # 133787 and the Full Heart using the NEW SWEETHEART punch # 133786
