Halloween Building Block Card

No time like the present to play with New products. As a SU Demo at convention  I was able to purchase from the upcoming Stampin'Up 2014 Holiday Catalog. When I got home I absolutely had to play with this candy corn paper, it such a QUICK and easy way to fill up a background, cut and paste....yummy looking don't you think? ( * Motley Monsters DSP 135819)

This fun little Halloween sentiment is 1 of 5 stamps in a set called "MINGLE ALL THE WAY" (* 135819 clear mount) This super versatile set will meet all your other holiday needs with sentiments for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.

I love the font in this sentiment, but it takes on a whole new look when you add
a little CREEP factor for the Halloween theme.........
QUICK TIP: I enjoyed using my Tangelo Twist stamp pad to ink up the sentiment and then using a black marker go back over the stamp to highlight a few of the letter edges.

The TEchnique used for the card shape is part of the challenge at the

you can find instructions for the base on Splitcoast Stampers HERE

1.   Make a 10 1/2" x 5 1/2" card base of Tangelo Twist
2.   Motley Monsters Designer Paper Panels  5 1/4" x3 1/4", 5 1/4" x 1 3/4"
3.   2 1/2" Circle Punch of Hello Honey card stock and sponged with
      Hello Honey ink.
4.   Sentiment panel   Black 2 3/4" x 2 1/4", white 2 1/2" x 2"

The Spooky little ghosts are EASY to make when you punch white card stock using the Owl Builder Punch, just clip off the legs , turn upside down and use a 1/4" circle punch for the eyes. Punch additional Black 1/4" circles to glue behind the eye openings. Pop up the bodies with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Add a few shiny stars to compliment the FULL MOON. You will have just the perfect size with our newest little star punch. It is part of a triple punch pack called Itty Bitty Accents. Of course you want your stars to S P A R K L E, right? Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper with absolutely do the trick!

I hope you'll have a chance to try your own builder card soon!
* Stampin'Up Holiday Catalog products will be available for ordering
the last week in August.
