Perfect Pennants Go Moonlighting

I'm Back today with more Stamp Camp samples......
This one uses the Perfect Pennants set, Moonlight Designer Paper and In Colors Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey

Yesterdays post (CLICK HERE) gave you an idea of what my TEAM STAMP CAMP is all about. 10 stations with projects provided by my team members , all the projects can be assembled in 15 minutes. As you can see Our attendees love the idea of not having to cut all their pieces and quickly get to the ink, punching and eating treats phase.

Another card and No, you are not seeing double, it is the same layout as the first card. How do you like to bold contrast of the Blackberry Bliss and Honey Hello?

We provided additional samples of our projects because we all like to see a stamp set used in more than one way, right? I had featured this matching card using ALL the SAME PRODUCTS

For ALL Things, Holiday Cat.

Fresh ,Crisp and Full of Color,
does that sound like Fall?

Well it's not even close to cooler weather here in Sacramento
 but I can dream, right?

With the new stamp set "FOR ALL THINGS" I can plan for my fall cards now even if it doesn't feel like Autumn.

It has 5 watercolor type images and 3 sentiments, plenty to play with for a wide variety of cards, tags or boxes.

And with help from my online friends it was easy to come up with today's inspiration to share with you. For the color challenge I could add an extra Bonus color... how about TANGERINE?

TRIPLE the Fun today playing at these 3 Challenge sites

1.  Make a Crushed Curry card base.
2.  With Bermuda Bay ink stamp the leaf image on white card stock. Once with
full ink and then overlap the image and stamp off the remaining ink twice.
3.  Use black ink to stamp the "grateful for You" sentiment over the leaves.
4.  Punch image using a 2 3/8" Circle Punch and attach to a Black 3" circle cut
     from the Circle Framelit Dies.
5.  Cut a 1" x 2 1/2" Tangerine Tango banner.
6.  Cut a  3/4" x 1 1/2" Whisper White banner.
7.  Punch a Bermuda Bay Banner using the Chevron Border Punch, trimming off
one of the chevrons to make the flag end.
8.  Raise up the sentiment circle with dimensionals and then tuck your banners
9.  Using Tangerine Tango ink, stamp the leaf branches on white CS.
10. Fussy Cut time is made easier when you use the right tool.
SU PAPER SNIPS are a must. Also Great for cutting small pieces of my
     ribbon tails.

Here's a close up of the leaves and fibers. I cheated a little and added a vein in the middle of some of the leaves to match up with the strings of the fibers. I used a a lighter color of marker (Pumpkin Pie) instead of the Tangerine Tango.

The cute little fiber bow is a new product coming out in the Holiday Catalog Aug. 28th. It's called Two Tone Trim and comes in..........

It's Super Chunky and Thick but I cut off 3" and split the fibers apart grabbing just 4 threads of the Tangerine and 4 of the white. I Love the little touch of twist in each piece but if you want to use as is it gives a burst of texture and color to any card, tag or box. SAMPLE CLICK HERE

Thanks you for visiting here at STAMP and STRETCH where I'm always looking for additional ways to make the most of my Stampin'Up purchases!

Quick Cards..Tape It and Traveler

Quick and Easy TRAVELER Birthday

With all the busy preparation for Convention 2014 I realized that I hadn't posted the photos and samples from our TEAM STAMP CAMP. We had a fabulous time at the Placer Teen Center in Rocklin, CA . There were 10 projects for each of our attendees. They moved from station to station, creating a 15 min. project, eating station treats, laughing and accumulating Door Prize drawing tickets.

This QUICK card was made using colors from the Brights Collection and uses the stamp set TAPE IT. It contains 8 Washi Tape patterns, so easy to place the trendy WASHI TAPE look on any piece of white card stock. You can emphasize your ink colors by using matching layers of card stock. I used a Melon Mambo layer 5 1/4" x 4" on a Bermuda Bay card base. The white layer is 5" x 3 3/4".

I think that any type of Birthday or Thanks sentiment would work well on this QUICK card.I stamped mine in Melon Mambo from the stamp set PETITE PAIRS

Here are the ladies having fun at the stations

Embossed Blended Bloom & Lullaby DSP

Do you Love Stamped Flowers? Are you fabulous at coloring them?

For most of us the answer is YES and NO. Unfortunately we can't be good at everything, and that includes coloring our images. However don't let your lack of coloring skills prevent you from making a gorgeous stamped flower. One of Stampin'Up's newest flower images is Blended Bloom and about 3" wide. If you aren't comfortable coloring that certainly is a lot of empty space to fill. But the image is sooooo beautiful and I believe a real WOW when the receiver opens a card using it.

SOLUTION: Emboss it instead, talk about EASY! NO COLORING
                 And look how beautiful.
                 ( Technique Here )

You'll need : Blended Bloom #135906 wood only

Punch Pistachio Pudding leaves using 2 petals from the Blossom Punch and 2 additional in Baked Brown Sugar for the shadow behind the leaves. I also added a little dry embossed Polka Dot to my Pistachio leaves, just an option for you.
Blossom Punch
Build your card base for the flower as follows:

     on the 8 1/2" side.
2.  Make a Baked Brown Sugar layer 5 1/4" x 4".
3.  Cut 2 pieces of Lullaby Designer paper  3 3/4" x 3" and 3 3/4" x 2",
     adhere to Brown Sugar layer.

5.  Attach DSP/Ribbon panel to the card base.

7.  3 cute Basic Pearls look sweet applied to the ribbon.

8.  Stamp the Thank You sentiment from "Blooming with Kindness"

Crisp Cantaloupe card stock and trim down to create a frame for the
sentiment piece. Pop up with dimensionals.

Envelope Liners framelit set to line your envelope with the Lullaby paper.

SU HOliday Catalog Sneak Peek

New Stamp Sets, New Designer Paper and Twisted Trim, Is there ever enough time to play???? Well, As they say, " When the cat's away the mice will play",  soooo hubby is off visiting the folks for a couple of days in Phoenix. I think it's time to PLAY!

I'm so glad I can share with you some of the upcoming products in the 2014 Holiday Catalog. It was so cool that we able to purchase some of the catalog items at convention this year...now I can show you samples, yahoo!

I so love this card's color combo, it's not mine alone, I just pulled it from the Designer Paper....Bermuda Bay, Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, Basic Gray and White.

It's actually from a new Halloween paper called *Motley Monsters DSP 135819. The cute birds and tangerine owls are on the back side of the candy corn dsp I featured on THIS PROJECT. The other star pattern paper is also in the same Designer Paper collection. It's funny because I wasn't drawn to the monster images on the paper but I love all the other designs. I'm so glad I decided to purchase it.

The sentiment is from a new set called *FOR ALL THINGS 135155. I just used a portion of a sentiment in the set, it actually says "hello FALL!" You will love this set when you see it with 8 stamps in all. I love it when Stampin'Up combines images AND sentiments, so versatile and value packed! FYI, the images have a watercolour look similar to Work of Art.

And Thanks to Connie and Mary for the fun card sketch this week....missed seeing both of you at Convention this year!

1.   Make a Bermuda Bay card base.
2.   Cut a Tangelo Twist panel 5 1/2" x 2".
3.   Cut a Bermuda Bay star panel 5 1/4" x 1 3/4".

5.   Cut a triangle off of the bottom right hand side ofthe bird panel, use that
triangle as a pattern piece. Flip it over and place in upper right hand side
of the bird panel to get an equal size triangle to trace and cut.
6.   Attach bird panel to star panel.

No time like the present to play with New products. As a SU Demo at convention  I was able to purchase from the upcoming Stampin'Up 2014 Holiday Catalog. When I got home I absolutely had to play with this candy corn paper, it such a QUICK and easy way to fill up a background, cut and paste....yummy looking don't you think? ( * Motley Monsters DSP 135819)

This fun little Halloween sentiment is 1 of 5 stamps in a set called "MINGLE ALL THE WAY" (* 135819 clear mount) This super versatile set will meet all your other holiday needs with sentiments for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.

I love the font in this sentiment, but it takes on a whole new look when you add
a little CREEP factor for the Halloween theme.........
QUICK TIP: I enjoyed using my Tangelo Twist stamp pad to ink up the sentiment and then using a black marker go back over the stamp to highlight a few of the letter edges.

The TEchnique used for the card shape is part of the challenge at the

you can find instructions for the base on Splitcoast Stampers HERE

1.   Make a 10 1/2" x 5 1/2" card base of Tangelo Twist

      Hello Honey ink.
