Secret Garden Birthday

Spring is Here and April is the month for Spring Colors
and Birthday Celebrations in our family.

Spring colors have started appearing and I was so excited when my purple and yellow irises appeared this year, just in time for Easter. They are so vibrant and fragrant. I love to stare at the penetrating sunlight that hits them first thing in the morning.

And as far as birthdays go we had 5 to celebrate so far....1 more to come! I love having mine in the month of April and it was a big one this year...lol.

It was easy to see why I choose the following challenges for todays card inspiration... Connie and Mary's sketch was so versatile and I already had the colors and theme swirling in my head for days.

The purple colored eggplant flower I featured is the largest one in the Secret Garden stamp set and has the matching framelits. Unfortunately they are retiring with this current catalog. The patterned paper is one from the Epic Day This and That DSP. I used the Postage Stamp punch for the 3 Pear Pizzazz panels. White embossing was uses for the stamped images and creates a nice contrast with the deep purple Eggplant color. The final coordinating touch is Daffodil seam binding tied around a Pear Pizzazz button to create a nice pop of color on the bold flower.
