Hello Stampers,
Today I found 2 great challenges for my card inspiration!
I have to say I sort of struggled with the colors at first. You know, like the saying " the lights are on, but nobody is home ".
I find that if a play around with several color pieces it finally comes together.
I wanted the large heart to set the stage so it made sense to have my darkest color behind it. The rest of the card evolved from there as I moved my pieces from place to place.
TIP: (I stamped and die cut several images from this stamp set to create a final design. Any of the leftover pieces get stored in my stamp case so I can easily use them for another card next time.)
Check out want the Design Teams at each of the challenges
have done and play along.
Stampin Up came out with the list of retiring stamps sets this week so I thought it would be fun to feature one of my favorites....Hearts a Flutter! Each of my featured hearts were die cut with the matching framelits. I mixed up the fresh look of the hearts with a layer of burlap ribbon for some added texture. All of my paper pieces including the card base were sponged with Crumb Cake ink to create a vintage feel....it's my go to technique to make things vintage. I still had some of that super cute Blushing Bride satin pleated ribbon.....my card was begging for it so I slapped on a row. The tiny little "HELLO" is from the Pennant Parade stamp set and punched out with the Jewelry Tag ( retired). Linen Thread and a Vintage Trinket finish off the sentiment detailing.
Thank You for visiting today!
