Secret Garden Slush

It's no Secret that Spring is almost here!
That's right it's officially on the calendar and it most certainly has arrived
in Northern California.

I made this "Make a Wish" (for Springtime) for the rest of you who are still bundled in your warm gear. So sorry for your thawing delay , you can come visit me in Calif. and help me plant the garden. New veggies went in yesterday as well as a few new perennials. We usually go crazy at this time of year but will have to hold back because of the California drought.
So my inspiration for today's card came from 2 online challenges. Love, Love the color challenge at Connie and Mary's. How about this fun sketch challenge at CAS(e) this sketch!

I wanted to have the look of some Designer Paper with the featured colors but came up exhausted after coming to a dead end. Honestly it took just minutes to look at the catalog and I knew I would need to MAKE my OWN.

I had done this technique last Spring on this card. Loved it so much that I'm back for more. Why I didn't do it sooner who knows, but I wanted to share it with you anyway.

You can find the technique directions HERE

I love this fresh looking Strawberry Slush color, it really pops when used with the black. I tried the sentiment in both black and SS but decided on the Strawberry as the right balance of color. I thought it would be fun to cut apart the "Make A Wish" sentiment and highlight the WISH in the Oval banner. A perfect touch of sparkle was created with the Silver 1/8" Ribbon and topped with a In Color Boutique Detail. Use a Large Oval of Silver Glimmer paper for the sentiment sparkle.
