Stampin'Up Flirty Dress Up Skirt

It's Dress Up Cupcake Style!
It's such a Happy Dress and seemed to fit perfectly
with the sentiment from Yippee Skippee!

A couple of months ago I had my Stamp Club make
this cute Birthday card inspired from an idea I saw on Pinterest.
They had so much fun finding a new way to use the Dress Up Die!

The Skirt is made from a Wilton cupcake liner that has kind of
a zebra print. I thought the bold black and white would look
good with some brights so we used
Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo.

I cut a line from the outside edge of the cupcake to the center and then folded it over on itself to make a half circle, then again to make a quarter circle. Next I cut a small circle off of the tip so that when unfolded the liner has a hole in the center. Using sticky strip at the waist you can attach the paper liner with little tucks as you mold it around the waist. I started with attaching the center of the liner with the center of the waist and then folded from the center out on either side. I actually tucked about 1/4" around to the back side of the dress.

If you want to jazz up the dress add a strip of  Silver glimmer paper to the waistline. You can make the sheer little shrug with vellum card stock and run it through just the top half of the Dress Up die. Cut that piece down the middle and dry emboss it with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing fold (my personal favorite)!

Pop up the dress with dimensionals on a Scallop Circle Bigz that has been stamped in black with the sentiment from the Yippee Skippee stamp set.
