Chevron Ribbon Banners & Sweater Weather

When I saw the sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary
I knew I wanted to incorporate ribbon as part of my row of banners.
I love the use of the Sweater Weather designer paper with the Chevron Ribbon
and the texture from the Burlap Ribbon.

Start with a Chocolate Chip card base. Cut a Pumpkin Pie Layer 5 1/4" x 4", don't attach it to the base quite yet as you need to wrap the 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon around it. Cut strips from the Sweater Weather DSP the same width as the Chevron Ribbon which is 3/4". The Length is 3". Be sure and snip your paper and ribbon tails before you apply them to the Pumpkin Pie layer. Cut a piece of the Burlap Ribbon 6 1/2". Using red sticky strip apply and Wrap it over the tops of the banners and around the base. Use dimensionals to attach the Pumpkin Pie layer to the Choc. Chip card base.

Here's a close up of the button embellishment using the
Natural Designer Buttons found on pg 169 of the catalog and
a Vintage Trinket on the following page.

Here I'm using the Fabulous Phrases stamp set to create my own sentiment. I love the versatility of the 30 different sentiments and being able to put together 1 or more words to convey a thought. I stamped them in CHocolate chip ink on Vanilla card stock and then punched them with the Word Window Punch. I ran the Vintage Trinket through the "heartfelt " sentiment and then glued the other one underneath it. You can then snip off the ends and attach it to the Early Espresso Bakers Twine which has been run through the button , knotted and then tied in a bow.

The final touch was tucking a couple of Chocolate Chip leaves under the button using the leaves from the Bird Builder Punch. Button and leaves were glued down in place.
