Labels and Cookies and Catalogs, Oh My!

We had a fabulous time last Sunday
for my Annual Stampin'Up Catalog Party.

I made these index tabs for each of my attendees and my downline so they can easily find each of the sections in the New Catalog. I made each section in a different color card stock so they could get a great sampling of several colors and then packaged them in 4"x6" cello bags with a topper.

We played a Catalog Game, made New In-Color Charts, did 3 projects (of which I will post over this next week), had a Simply Pressed Clay Flower and Button demonstration, made our wish lists, laughed, laughed and had lots of fun! We also talked about the FREE stamp sets we are going to get at convention and the BIG RED WAGON we are driving there. I made Heart cookies for everyone using the Sweet Pressed Cookie stamps. I thinned out some frosting, colored it pink and then dipped the impressions in the pink glaze.
Ah, so girlie and yummy!

Well, I decided not to stop there but wanted to make each of them a take home cookie treat as well. Made my sugar cookie dough, rolled out the refrigerated dough, stamped my image (these are so easy to use) and then cut them out with a circle cutter. (Oh, I just realized as I'm looking at the photo I used my grandma's old vintage donut cutter).

Onto the parchment papered pan they went and into the oven

When they came out of the oven they looked so yummy but kinda plain, then the light bulb came on ( you know the little cartoon picture over your head). As if we don't do enough sugar in the U.S. anyway, I decided to make a cookie sandwich with the ever so delicious Nutella. Thats right, an amazing delight of vanilla flavored sugar cookie with the chocolately essence of Hazelnut sandwiched between it's crisp little layers.

They found a home in some 4" X 6" CELLO BAGS and a topper made from a
4" x 3" piece of Gingham Garden DSP. Aren't these GREAT!
