Here is a Fun Little Valentine that is so Easy to Make.
My Attendees at a recent NEW CATALOG class agreed and were thrilled
to think about all the different themes they could incorporate with the
basic design. The best part is that it holds a gift card! We ALL buy them and
so why not put them a cute little holder like this.
The base is made of POOL PARTY card stock cut 5 1/2"x 4 1/4"
Score on the 5 1/2" side @ 1" & 3 1/2"
Fold on score lines and adhere edges with sticky strip
along the non-folded sides.
This creates a pocket for the gift card or $$$$.
Apply the New Spring Catalog Designer Series paper MORE AMORE to
folded panels. You will need one large heart design panel 4"x 1 5/8"
and one small heart design 4 x 3/4"
TIP: make sure your hearts are going in the same direction when you cut!
(Emboss and cut at the same time) a Real Red Heart using the Scalloped
Heart of Hearts Embosslit. Punch/pierce a hole in the top and insert a 14"
piece of POOL Party Bakers Twine. Attach the heart to the upper panel with
1 dimensional under each round corner.
Stamp in real red ink or marker {love} on Pool Party card stock
using the TINY TAGS stamp set. Punch it out with the Small Heart punch.
Slide Bakers twine through the heart and around the whole pocket
so that the cut ends measure up together. This will give you a better chance
at a finished bow that is balanced.
Punch 1 SMALL HEART out of POOL PARTY card stock and
attach to the twine on the underside of the red heart so it stays in place.
Tie up your gift card and it's READY to give Away
To Your Special Someone!
