"Follow My Heart" Project 3

We'll I'm back again with Project 3..it's
all tied together with the SweetHeart Treat Bag

These little SweetHeart Treat bags are so cute with the little white hearts and they are so durable too. The top of the bag already has a die cut zig zag edge so that saves you an extra step of time of design detail. With this bag having a finished size of 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" you can easily fit a couple of pieces of chocolate inside as well as a gift card. You know your favorite Valentine will love that.

The bag is folded down 1" from the zig zag edge. Glue one of the die cut striped banners from the Sweetheart Treat Bags kit just underneath the folded down portion.

Ink up and stamp in Real Red on white card stock the cute little xoxo key image from the FOLLOW MY HEART stamp set. Trim with Paper Snips around the image and glue to the banner.

Ink up and stamp in Bermuda Bay on white card stock the POST CARD portion of the stamp and trim to fit across the top of the 3 1/2" bag. Glue down.

Measure the holes for your Pool Party Bakers Twine (included in the Treat Bag Kit). Mark with a pencil 1 1/2" from either side of the bag. I used a 1/16" hole punch but a piercing tool will work also.

Fill your bag and then Cut 10" of the Bakers Twine. Thread the twine through the holes and tie in front. Place a GLUE DOT on the tie ends.

Punch 4 SMALL HEARTS in Bermuda Bay card stock. Attach 2 hearts back to back over the GLUE DOT on each tie end. Apply a Rhinestone to each heart.

ADORABLE don't you think? , I wish I could give you ALL one!

Festive Flurry Treat Tags

Christmas time is for sharing and baking and laughter and more.

I confess that Cooking is not my favorite thing but I thoroughly enjoy baking, especially at Christmas time. I would be just fine if there were no gift giving as we all have way too many things ( stamping supplies are not included in that statement  though...LOL ). Somehow the artistic side of me just has to create yummies and decorate cookies to share with others.

The Crew over at the SUO Challenges asked us to show you our LAST MINUTE gifts as we count down the days. I knew just what I wanted to do since I had just received a call about a last minute " can you guys come over on Friday night?" Lucky I had just about finished up my baking + 4 cookie sheets of English toffee and 2 trays of Pretzel Turtles.

For what ever reason ( tis the season to have NO REASON ) I wanted my tag to have a neutral tone to match the contents, so I went with a Crumb Cake base, Champagne Glimmer paper and Whisper White. Of course I used the Festive Flurry die cuts and ran the white layer through the Polka Dot embossing folder. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Petite Pairs and die cut using the Itty Bitty Banners die.

After the Gusset Cello Bags where packed I cut about 22" of Cherry Cobbler Tulle and tied a bow around the top of the bag. The Festive Tag was attached to the bag with linen thread to match the overall feel of the color palette . I ended up making 7 treat bags and received BIG smiles and "oh my gosh" from our wonderful friends.

Plus I wanted to share the frosted cookies I made and sent through the mail to my 80 & 90 year old relatives....I'm sure they will enjoy them, it fills my heart with joy!

Thank you for visiting,

Stampin'Up Flirty Dress Up Skirt

It's Dress Up Cupcake Style!
It's such a Happy Dress and seemed to fit perfectly
with the sentiment from Yippee Skippee!

A couple of months ago I had my Stamp Club make
this cute Birthday card inspired from an idea I saw on Pinterest.
They had so much fun finding a new way to use the Dress Up Die!

The Skirt is made from a Wilton cupcake liner that has kind of
a zebra print. I thought the bold black and white would look
good with some brights so we used
Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo.

I cut a line from the outside edge of the cupcake to the center and then folded it over on itself to make a half circle, then again to make a quarter circle. Next I cut a small circle off of the tip so that when unfolded the liner has a hole in the center. Using sticky strip at the waist you can attach the paper liner with little tucks as you mold it around the waist. I started with attaching the center of the liner with the center of the waist and then folded from the center out on either side. I actually tucked about 1/4" around to the back side of the dress.

If you want to jazz up the dress add a strip of  Silver glimmer paper to the waistline. You can make the sheer little shrug with vellum card stock and run it through just the top half of the Dress Up die. Cut that piece down the middle and dry emboss it with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing fold (my personal favorite)!

Pop up the dress with dimensionals on a Scallop Circle Bigz that has been stamped in black with the sentiment from the Yippee Skippee stamp set.
