Girl Friend Purse

Did you ever think that you could use the PETITE DIE CUT PURSE in multiple ways? I just love these little purses. I changed it's appearance by removing the top flap and leaving an opening to stuff gift tissue inside. Notice how the tissue matches perfectly with the CALYPSO CORAL card stock, INK and RUFFLED RIBBON on the handle.

I Love the contrast of the EARLY ESPRESSO card Stock and INK with the CALYPSO CORAL purse. I used the AFFECTION COLLECTION stamp set from the HOLIDAY CATALOG to stamp my images. Using CALYPSO CORAL INK I stamped the purse body, front , back and sides. Cut off the purse flap, fold sides at crease marks and assemble sides to front with STICKY STRIP ADHESIVE.
CALYPSO CORAL INK was also used to stamp the banner image on WHITE CARD STOCK and then cut out.
Tip: Adding a 1/8" border of white showing makes it easier to cut out and not compromise your image.
Glue that to a piece of EARLY ESPRESSO card stock and trim it down to about a 1/8" border. Add a PEARL for that extra feminine touch.

Use EARLY ESPRESSO INK to stamp your "FRIEND " image on white card stock and then free hand cut it out with your PAPER SNIPS. Attach with STAMPIN DIMENSIONALS for a raised image.

Attach RUFFLED CALYPSO CORAL RIBBON to the paper handle using red STICKY STRIP ADHESIVE and then to sides of the purse.

Now for the Gift Tissue!  I used only a 8"x8" piece of white tissue and stamped the image randomly on one side of the tissue. Because the tissue is translucent the stamped image shows through.
TIP: place a piece of computer paper under your tissue before stamping.
Do not stamp sentiments unless you want to read them backwards
because the image will show through.

Enjoy making your own!

  1. It's a pity there's no tutorial. That's probably why there are no comments.

  2. Hi Anonymous, So sorry that you did not find the information you were looking for. I trust that you know the purse is using the PURSE die cut and so there would be no need to give measurements. Please contact me if you have specific questions. You can find the die cut http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=125606&dbwsdemoid=83503 or click on the link above in the post.
    Have a wonderful day!
